How We Get You There
Methods we use to provide effective treatment

Included in Bodywork-Only Sessions, as needed, at no additional charge

Ashiatsu

Ashiatsu is a massage technique where we apply deep, broad, and consistent pressure using our bare feet and body weight. By working with gravity instead of against it, this method allows us to deliver an effective treatment without the discomfort of pointy elbows or thumbs.

We may recommend Ashiatsu to 'warm up' and relax tense muscles, preparing the tissue for more detailed bodywork. It can also serve as a deeply relaxing and restorative treatment, especially for those dealing with chronic pain.

Trigger Point
Therapy

Trigger points are small contractions in muscle fibers that can lead to discomfort, weakness, restricted movement, and pain in other areas of the body. They are treated by applying direct pressure to gradually release the contracted muscle.

We use Trigger Point therapy to identify potential sources of pain and reduce or eliminate their associated trigger points. Throughout the process, we work closely with you to ensure we stay within your pain tolerance level.

Myofascial
Decompression

Cupping uses suction to lift and decompress tissues, improving the movement of blood and other fluids. The negative pressure creates space between layers of soft tissue, allowing them to glide and slide more freely, which helps reduce pain and promotes flexibility and mobility.

We may use cupping in combination with other techniques to enhance mobility, fluid dynamics, healing, and muscle recovery.

IASTM

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (commonly known as 'scraping,' 'gua sha,' or 'Graston') targets the soft tissues involved in movement—muscles, fascia, ligaments, and tendons. Using specialized tools, this technique increases blood and lymphatic flow while creating controlled micro-trauma in the treatment area, which stimulates cellular regeneration and recovery.

We often combine IASTM with other techniques to help address restrictions such as myofascial adhesions and scar tissue—common sources of pain and limited mobility.

Hot Stones

Heat therapy increases blood flow and circulation to targeted areas, helping to soothe tense or injured muscles. It can also be especially beneficial for those dealing with stress or insomnia.

We may use hot stones as a spot treatment to relax tight muscle tissue and ease stress or anxiety.

Neuromuscular
Stretching

Neuromuscular stretch therapy is an advanced form of stretching and flexibility training originally designed for rehabilitation. We target key areas that are crucial for stability and mobility, such as the muscles around the ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, and neck. By strengthening weaker muscles and stretching overactive ones, this therapy promotes optimal and efficient movement.

If you are experiencing movement limitations or restrictions caused by muscular imbalances, we may suggest a series of stretching and strengthening exercises to improve  flexibility, mobility, and range-of-motion.
